amputee swimming

What is Swimability?

They are swimming lessons designed for young people aged 16 years or under with disabilities. The lessons are held in our pools in Barry, Llantwit Major and Penarth.

Improve

Lessons offer fun opportunities to help develop confidence and skills. We assist with learning to swim, coaching and encourage you to gain a National Teaching Plan qualification.

Teaching

Qualified swimming teachers who have training with young people with disabilities will teach most of our Swimability lessons. All participants who require one-to-one support in the water will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Free Swim initiative

During the school holidays, except Christmas, Swimability participants will be able to access the pool at any of the three Leisure Centres for free with coaching. (Conditions apply).

FreeStyle members £3.55 per 30 minute lesson.

You can pay using cash, cheque or credit card for lessons in advance for up to 15 lessons.

You can now pay by direct debit and it is payable on 21st of each month.
