in Barry, Penarth and Llantwit Major.
Our pools provide a great way for the whole family to exercise
together, and our fun water slides in Barry and Penarth are really
popular with kids of all ages!

Swimming lessons for babies
Give your child confidence in the water and an extremely fun
half an hour at 'Baby Splash', held every Saturday morning at
Penarth Leisure Centre. The sessions are for babies aged from three
months up to three years old. No previous swimming experience is
required and the courses uses proven and structured techniques to
help babies make progress in the pool.

Swimming lessons for children
Getting your child in the pool from a young age with
swimming
lessons is the best way to make sure they grow up to become
strong confident swimmers. Absolute beginners aged four and above
can take their first steps to swimming either in group lessons or
one-to-one sessions. We also have Swimability lessons for children with
disabilities.

Swimming lessons for adults
In addition to beginner classes for children, lessons are also
available for adults. It’s never too late to learn. If you can
already swim, but want to fine-tune your stroke, we offer advanced
classes. Swimming lessons for over 60s are free! Find out the times

Free Swimming sessions
Over 60s can swim for free all year round, apart from during
school holidays. The Welsh Assembly Government funds free
swimming sessions for under 16s on weekends and during school
