A new section has been created on the Vale of Glamorgan
Council’s website to keep residents posted on all of the
Olympic-related news from across the Vale and hopefully inspire
local people to take up a new sport during 2012 too.
Penarth man named Wales' sports coach of the
year - 17/11/11
A disability sport coach from Penarth has added the Sport Wales
Coach of the Year title to his list of successes.

New classes to help young Vale swimmers reach
their potential - 14/11/11
To help youngsters take their swimming to a higher level, a new
one-hour ‘Competitive Swim’ class is being held at Barry Leisure
Centre, while new ‘Swimability’ classes are starting at Penarth
Leisure Centre for children with disabilities.
Dance Mat mania at Ysgol Bro Morgannwg -

Interactive dance mat sessions are helping teenagers to sharpen
up their fitness levels at Ysgol Bro Morgannwg in Barry as part of
an innovative sports scheme.
