LifeStyle gyms

A LifeStyle membership also lets you use all of the swimming pools and health suites across the four main leisure centres, over 60 fitness classes per week and access to a number of health assessments. A range of memberships are available and start from just £24.40 a month.

Alternatively, if you want to try the gyms out first before signing up for a membership, you can pay just £4.90 for a workout at off-peak times and £6.00 at peak times.

FreeStyle membership

If you are a regular visitor to the Vale's leisure centres, then the FreeStyle membership scheme can help to save you a lot of money each year. Available to adults, juniors and senior citizens, the scheme gives members a discount each time they pay for their leisure centre activities.

It costs a small annual fee to become a FreeStyle member, but it makes sense if you are a regular at fitness classes, in the pool, on the squash court etc. The prices shown in some of the tables below include the fees for Free Style members - both regular FreeStyle members and FreeStyle concession members. Swimming

Table tennis

Table tennis can be played at the Leisure Centres in Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, Holm View and Penarth. The prices shown below are per table.

Sports hall hire

You can hire our sports halls for sports such as five-a-side football, netball and basketball. In all of our centres it costs £35.40 for a LifeStyle/FreeStyle member to hire, and £44.35 for non-members.
