Swimming lessons for children

Make a splash!

Learn to swim at the Vale's leisure centresGetting your child swimming from a young age is the best way to make sure that they grow up to become strong confident swimmers. Absolute beginners aged four and above can take their first steps to swimming with lessons at our leisure centres.

Our expert swimming teachers will assess a child's ability and give them the tuition at the level that they need. Lessons up to stage seven last half an hour, while the advanced lessons are an hour. The price remains the same, rewarding swimmers for their extra dedication. Find out what each lesson stage involves.

In addition to these beginner classes for children, lessons for adults learning to swim are also organised, as well as more advanced classes to help you perfect your technique.

Meanwhile, youngsters who want to learn some lifesaving skills can do so on our rookie lifeguards classes and new 'Survive and Swim' sessions.
