Family History Classes

Come along to the
library, attend a class or book a session at one of the
surgeries to get advice on your family history queries and see the
wide range of online resources the library has to offer, including
Find My Past.
Or why not attend our tasters, there is quite a few to choose from
and something for everyone.
We offer The Census, Births,
Marriages and Death Records, Records Before 1837, The Way They
Lived, Military Records, Wills and Passenger Lists and Newspaper
Collections Online.
From January, 2011 onwards we will offer some new interesting
classes which will include Beginners - Surnames, Scottish/Irish
Ancestry, Archives Online, Down and Out (Criminals/Poor Law),
Recording Software and 1911 Census.
Places are limited so you
will need to book a place at the relevant full or
part time library.
