The library is situated off Cowbridge High Street, in Old Hall Gardens.

Accessibility

The library is all on one level. There are automatic entrance doors and disabled toilet facilities. A hearing loop is installed at the counter. Additional facilities include Zoomtext installed on a number of computers, an adapted computer, a Smartview magnifier and a scanner that will play back the printed word.

What we've got to offer

Following extensive refurbishment work in 2011, Cowbridge Library is now a bright, welcoming and lively space, offering something for all the family. The library boasts a new IT suite, a separate children’s area and new self-service machines.

We offer:

• A wide range of books, music, DVDs and Talking Books for people of all ages
• A children's area with new books, five dedicated PCs and cushions to make your visit even more comfortable
• Local History Collection
• An ICT suite with 10 computers for public use with free access to the Internet and a scanner. Free IT taster sessions are run throughout the year. See Classes and events for more information

Storytime

Storytime for the under-fives is held from 2 - 2.30pm every Wednesday during term time.

Council Services

We now offer a small range of Council Services including:

• The sale of garden recycling bags, green box nets and commercial rubbish and recycling bags
• Kitchen waste bags and dog waste bags
• Recycling permits
