Belle Vue Park is a small late-Victorian park in central Penarth
set in tree-lined streets and bordered by informal groupings of
terraced and semi-detached villas.
The site has seen a renaissance over the last few years inspired
by a dedicated group of supporters, the Friends of Belle Vue Park,
which has worked with tireless enthusiasm to raise the standards of
the Park in close collaboration with the Parks Division.
Improvements in the Park include refurbished benches, new gates
and dog-proof fencing, new signage, new path surfaces, additional
tree planting, the installation of two new artworks, and a
completely refurbished play area. Not only has the Friends group
provided the inspiration, but it has also raised most of the
funding for these exciting new developments. The revitalised park
is now the venue for a varied and stimulating programme of events
organised by the Friends group, and has become a focus for the
local community.
