Become a Volunteer at Dyffryn Gardens
Are you interested in applying to become a Dyffryn
Volunteer?

We are looking for volunteers to help us
maintain the beautiful gardens at Dyffryn. Tasks are wide-ranging,
and we have different days and roles to offer:
- Walled garden
volunteers will maintain the productive areas of the garden,
working alongside the walled garden supervisor to learn about
fruit, vegetable and cut flower cultivation.
- Nursery/Glasshouse
volunteers will help to care for a varied botanical collection
to high standards both in the display glasshouse and behind the
scenes.
- We have many opportunities available for general
garden volunteers. You can be assigned to work in particular
areas, or take part in group tasks. You will be working alongside
our trained horticultural staff to maintain the gardens to a high
standard.
- We have an exciting new volunteer role available for any DIY
enthusiasts: handyperson
volunteers are needed to help us repair, restore and maintain
garden furniture and features, including benches, trellis, paving
and fencing.
We ask for a regular weekly commitment
(special circumstances and holidays will of course be worked
around), and roles can be half day or whole day sessions.
We are currently looking for people to help
every week day except Wednesdays.
We are a friendly team, with lots going on to
keep you interested, and plenty of new people to meet. We’re always
glad of an extra pair of hands, so please do get in contact if you
would like to get involved.
