Porthkerry Country Park

Porthkerry Country Park

Porthkerry Country Park is noted for its imposing viaduct, built by the Vale of Glamorgan Railway Company and opened in 1900.

Beach

As you make your way to the shore you will find a fine semi-circular pebble beach. This was formed by wave action on the constantly crumbling limestone cliffs and dominates the southern boundary of the park.

Inland

Moving inland, you will reach the 500 metre-long grass meadow, flanked by 150 acres of rich deciduous woodlands. 3 small valleys spread inland, reaching into open countryside, and linking the park to Barry.

There are miles of tracks and paths to allow you to explore further. Visit the Porthkerry Park page
