Stepping stones
Idyllically situated beside Ewenny River the castle
was built to guard a strategic fording point. You can cross
the river via lovely stepping-stones at low tide - but take
care as the tides change rapidly and you could be left on the wrong
side! There's a ruined stone keep still standing tall amongst the
riverbank foliage.
Location
Road: Past Ewenny on the B4524 route to the
Heritage Coast opposite the Pelican pub. Follow signs from Bridgend
to Ewenny/Ogmore by Sea.
