Setting

The medieval village is located in attractive Cosmeston Lakes Country Park and is a unique Heritage project in Britain.

 

14th Century

The reconstructed village is on an original site and consists of medieval buildings, gardens, rare breeds and a small yet fascinating museum. Tours of the village are conducted by costumed villagers with special events throughout the year.

 

Location

Road: Situated 5 miles west of Cardiff and only 15 mins from the M4 junction 33. The main entrance is on the B4267 Lavernock Road from Sully to Penarth.

Rail: Nearest Station – Penarth approximately 3 miles. Tel: 08457 484950 for rail information.

 

Open: 11am to 4pm during the summer and 11am to 3pm in winter.

Parking: Large car and coach park.

Charges: Free entry. Medieval Village; Adults £5, Children/OAPs £2 OAPs Family £12.

Disabled: Parking spaces and toilets. Ramp access to visitor centre and café. The village itself and reconstructed buildings are accessible for wheelchairs with assistance available.
