Events Liaison Panel (ELP)

The Vale of Glamorgan Council operates an Events Liaison Panel. The panel is made up of key Council departments and local emergency services.  

 

The group is chaired by The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Civil Protection Unit and provides advice  to any organisation, including the Council, planning to hold an event in the Vale.

The ELP comprises

  • Police Service
  • Fire Service
  • Ambulance Service
  • Health & Safety
  • Tourism & events
  • Highways
  • Environmental Health
  • Building Control
  • Licensing

Your responsibilities

The panel meets regularly and offers an advisory role only ensuring that all event organisers are aware of their responsibilities and that all events are run safely. The ELP is free to attend and all event organisers are encouraged to inform the panel of their event.

Information required:

In order to assess your event the panel asks that organisers print off and complete an Event Aide Memoir prior to attending the panel meetings. The ELP kindly request that you allow at least 6 weeks prior to your event taking place to do this.
