Eating out in the Vale
There are many inns, country pubs and restaurants in the Vale
of Glamorgan where you can taste excellent food
and drink. Whatever your flavour, don't miss out on our
award-winning restaurants and historic inns.
Country Pubs
The Vale is blessed with traditional country pubs. For
example, you can step back in time at the ‘Plough and Harrow’,
tucked away near the coast in Monknash. The pub is an old Monastic
Grange that dates back to 1383 and serves fresh locally sourced
food and real ale.
A word of warning though…if you have a feeling that someone is
sneakily taking a sip from your drink it may well be down to the
presence of the pub’s ghost – spirits aren’t just found behind the
bar here!
The Plough and Harrow is just one of many welcoming pubs and
restaurants that you can find in the Vale of Glamorgan. Download
