Stepping Out – a comedy by Richard Harris

Big Cowbridge Community Diamond Jubilee Celebration

Tues 5 June, 2pm - 6pm

Old Hall Gardens and Physic Gardens, Church Street, Cowbridge

Come and celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in Cowbridge. The event starts at 2pm with a peal of bells. From 2pm - 3pm there will be a showcase of community talent, artists, makers, musicians and performances by community groups. Also garland weaving, maypole dancing, crown and hat making, and fairtrade and community cafe. At 3pm there will be a procession of the alternative king and queen to Church Street followed by a street tea party. Bring a tea cup, wear a hat or crown and bring sandwiches or cake to share. Pen and Watercolour

Dyffryn Gardens is a beautiful location for this painting course with fine artist Diana Mead. There will be indoor accommodation to provide a workbase for the day but it is hoped that most of the time will be spent drawing and painting around the gardens. There will be an introductory talk and demonstration. The choice of painting materials is yours although watercolours or acrylics would be the preferred options as they dry more quickly and are easier to carry about. To book a place please contact Penarth Community Learning Centre or the tutor.
