Our Towns
If you enjoy wandering around towns,
we have four of the most fascinating towns in Wales. All of them
have their own unique character and are full of history.

The largest town in the Vale of Glamorgan, Barry has a proud
history and has undergone a multi-million pound overhaul in
recent years to help create an even more memorable future.

One of the most fashionable places in the area, rural Cowbridge
is full of sophisticated shops and plays host to a
fantastic food and drink festival each autumn.

Another of the Vale of Glamorgan's coastal towns is Llantwit
Major, where ancient stone buildings line tiny narrow
streets just up from a beach that is perfect for surfing
and joining local walking routes.

Only a few miles from Cardiff, Penarth has been a magnet for
holidaymakers and day visitors for more than a century.

If you'd like to find out more about any of our towns then you
can order a free copy of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and Countryside
'Fascinating Towns' mini guide. A range of other mini guides
are also available, perfect for anyone who is planning a visit to
the Vale of Glamorgan.
