Greenlinks Community Transport 

Greenlinks Community Transport has four accessible minibuses: two 9 seaters and two 12 seaters, plus two accessible cars.

Depending on vehicle availability and passenger demand, our volunteer driven vehicles can transport you to where you'd like to travel, when you want to travel.

 

Greenlinks Membership

By paying a £6.00 membership fee, you can use the Greenlinks Community Transport service to request transport for as little as £2.50 for each journey.

 

Please note that you are not required to become a member of Greenlinks in order to access the weekly 'on-demand' Services G1 and G4 (see below)

Hire a Bus

Buses are available for group hire. The first 40 miles are free and fuel costs 53 pence per mile thereafter.

  • Full day (up to 8hrs): £70
  • Half a day (up to 4hrs): £35

Weekly 'On-Demand' Bus Services

Please call in advance to request a seat on these services.

Welsh concessionary bus passes will be accepted on the services, enabling pass-holders to travel for free. Child fares are also available on these services. You do not need to be a member of Greenlinks to access the weekly bus services. 

 

Please Note: Passengers will be advised of their pick up times from agreed locations one working day prior to travel.  Please note the pick up time may vary by up to 10 minutes either side of the agreed pick up time.

 

G1 Service: St Athan to Bridgend via Cowbridge and surrounding villages.

Monday to Friday 

The service will also link with the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.  There are guideline routes for each day which are flexible depending on demand.  

 

G4 Service: Rural Vale to Cardiff 

Every Thursday

The Thursday service runs by request to four sites around Cardiff; Culverhouse Cross retail areas, Western Avenue retail area, University Hospital of Wales, Heath and/or Cardiff City Centre.

Volunteer Drivers Wanted

Greenlinks Community Transport is currently recruiting volunteers to run their Community Transport service in the Rural Vale.

 

We can offer free training, an excellent working environment with hours to suit you and an opportunity to give something back to your community.
