Making an Application

Where a Building Regulations application is required for the
proposed building works, it can be made using one of the
following methods:
Full Plans Option
This is the most widely known and used option, where scaled
plans clearly indicating the proposed constructional details and
where necessary supporting structural calculations, have to be
submitted. Further information on making a Full Plans

Building Notice Submission
The Building Notice option cannot be used
where:
a) The building is subject to the Regulatory
Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to enable consultation with the
fire authority.
b) The building work is over or near a public
sewer.
c) The proposed new dwelling fronts onto a private street.

Online Submission
You can visit the Submit a
Plan website if you would like to submit a planning application
online. You can also track your applications through Track-a-Plan,
allowing you to see the progress of your application.
