Q. What are the benefits of paying for school meals/music
online?
A. Paying for meals/music online removes the need for you to
queue up at the school office or worry about your child carrying
cash to school.
Q. Do I have to buy a minimum amount of
meals?
A. A minimum of 5 meals must be bought per
card transaction.
Q. What cards can I use to pay?
A. Most major credit and debit cards are
accepted, including Mastercard, Visa, Maestro and Visa Electron. We
don’t currently accept American Express.
Q. How will I know that the transaction has been
successful?
A. Upon completion of your payment, you will
be taken to a “transaction complete” screen. In addition, enter
your email address when prompted during the payment process to
receive a receipt via email.
Q. How will the school know that I’ve
paid?
A. Each school office is automatically
informed when a payment is made via the website.
Q. Who operates this site?
A. The Vale of Glamorgan Council operates and
maintains the site.
Q. Is it safe?
A. All card payment transactions are processed
via a secure server.
Q. How much are meals?
A. Primary school meals are £2.00 per meal.
Q. Does it cost more to buy meals via the
website?
A. The service is free to use – you pay only
for the price of the meals.
Q. Can I get a receipt?
A. Yes. Enter your email address into the box
when prompted to receive a receipt via email attachment. The
receipt is provided in an easy to print format. Alternatively, save
the confirmation screen as an electronic file.
Q. Who should I contact if I have any queries regarding
payment?
A. Please contact the school office if you
have any queries regarding your child’s meals or wish to find out
your current balance.

Q. Why was my transaction unsuccessful?
A. Transaction usually fail for one
of two reasons. Either incorrect card details were typed or
the banks rejected the payment attempt due to insufficient
funds.
Contact your bank if prompted to do so by the
onscreen message.
Q. Can I pay over the phone?
A. Yes. Please call 01446 70011 to make a
payment over the phone. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday,
8am-6pm.
Q. What is the web address of the site I need to

Q. My child has transferred schools. Can I get a
refund?
A. Yes. Email creditors@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
with your payment reference and one of our team will contact
you.
Q. Why doesn’t my child’s school accept online payments
for school meals?
A. If your child’s school doesn’t currently
accept online payments, contact us at creditors@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
and we’ll inform the school of the demand for the service.
