Grass cutting
The Vale of Glamorgan's Parks and Grounds
Division is responsible for maintaining areas of
grassland. These grassland areas owned by the Council
can include verges, roundabouts, highway routes, feature
parks, recreational grounds and open spaces.
Grass is usually cut as follows:
- 10-day cycle (within 10 working days)
- 15 working day cycle (within 15 working days)
- Gateway Route (monthly)
- Strategic Routes – main routes (4 times per season)
- Non-strategic Routes – rural lanes (2 times per season)
Please note that if an area of grassland is
classed as an environmental area, it may not be cut until after the
wild flowers have set seed (after mid July).
Dates of rounds.
