Have you seen tree sparrows?
The Glamorgan Bird Club is trying to find more colonies of tree sparrow and also find out more about where they winter.
If you are aware of populations of tree sparrow somewhere in the Vale then let us know at ecology@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk or on the record submissions page and we’ll pass the details on to the Glamorgan Bird Club. Please make sure that they are tree sparrows though – not house sparrows.
How to identify a tree sparrow
They have chestnut brown caps with no grey on them at all and a black ‘tear drop’ spot on a white cheek
