Vale of Glamorgan biodiversity
award
The biodiversity award, now in its fourth year, rewards
practical projects that promote biodiversity by creating, enhancing
or managing sites for wildlife.

Projects can be long-standing, but
must involve ongoing management or improvement to enhance or
sustain biodiversity. Projects that are still under construction
will also be considered.
Class 1 Schools, education centres or
children’s groups
Class 2 Voluntary groups or industrial or
commercial businesses including farms
The first prize in each class is £100, with
£50 and £20 awarded to second and
third place. Winners of the class will also receive a trophy at the
Vale of Glamorgan on the 20th August.

Applications must be received by Friday 2nd May
and a round of visits for short-listing may take place
during the week beginning 12th May. Final judging will be carried
out during the first week of June.
