Vale of Glamorgan biodiversity award

 

The biodiversity award, now in its fourth year, rewards practical projects that promote biodiversity by creating, enhancing or managing sites for wildlife.

Projects can be long-standing, but

must involve ongoing management or improvement to enhance or sustain biodiversity. Projects that are still under construction will also be considered.

 

 

Class 1 Schools, education centres or children’s groups

 

Class 2 Voluntary groups or industrial or commercial businesses including farms

 

 

 

The first prize in each class is £100, with £50 and £20 awarded to second and third place. Winners of the class will also receive a trophy at the Vale of Glamorgan on the 20th August.

Applications must be received by Friday 2nd May and a round of visits for short-listing may take place during the week beginning 12th May. Final judging will be carried out during the first week of June.
