Results of the Vale Biodiversity Award 2006

 

The results are now in for the 2006 Award.

This year's award was judged by Sue Mabberley of the Countryside Council for Wales, who confessed to finding it very difficult to separate the many excellent entries.

 

Our congratulations to all who entered this year's award. We were heartened to see the amount and quality of work that is put into conserving and enhancing biodiversity within the Vale. The prizes were awarded as follows:

 

St Brides Biodiversity Award

Class 1 is for projects by schools and education centres

1st. St.Bride's Church in Wales Primary School

School grounds project

 

2nd. Eagleswell Primary School

Wildflower area and forest school setting

 

3rd. 94th Penarth Scout Group

Dunraven Biodiversity AwardClass 2 Best site for wildlife created, improved or managed by voluntary groups or industrial or commercial business, including farms.
