Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP)

In 2002 the Vale of Glamorgan Biodiversity Partnership published a Local Biodiversity Action Plan. The Vale Local Biodiversity Action Plan, or LBAP, is a document which sets out a plan of action to safeguard the future of our wildlife in the Vale of Glamorgan.

This action plan is currently under review - changing the emphasis from species to habitats and making it more focused on current and feasible actions.

A major part of the review is also to make it 'BARS friendly'. BARS is a web-based system that allows all the partners in the Vale to easily report on their projects and feed into the UK's action plan.

The reviewed lbap will be available later this year.
