Biodiversity Poster Competition 2007
Hundreds of Vale of Glamorgan schoolchildren showed their
passion for wildlife by entering a special poster competition,
sponsored by RWE npower Aberthaw, as part of Wales Biodiversity
Week.
To mark the annual event that encourages
people to discover and enjoy their local biodiversity, pupils were
invited to design posters around the theme of 'wildlife in the
garden'.
Our gardens and school grounds can be really important habitats
for many species of plants and animals. A lot of people choose to
enhance their gardens for wildlife and it is important that they
continue to do so. The posters designed by the children showed the
huge variety of wildlife that can be found in the garden, from
frogs to flowers and slugs to slow-worms.
