Seaside award
In March each year, the distinctive yellow and blue flag is
awarded to beaches that meet mandatory standard water quality and
are;
• clean
• safe
• well-managed
Four Vale locations
Have achieved the seaside flag status for 2008. The flags
are flown having attained one of two standards (either resort
or rural) they are:
- Barry Island (resort)
- Jackson's Bay (resort)
- Llantwit Major (rural)
- Rhoose (rural)
