Enforcement Policy
Scope
This policy applies to the work undertaken within the following
service areas through which the Vale of Glamorgan Council ensures
the laws for which it is responsible are enforced:
Regulatory Services
- protect the public safety and health
- protect the public from financial prejudice
- protect the welfare of commercial livestock
- protect the environment
- provide truth and transparency in trade, and thus ensure
businesses can compete fairly
Private Sector Housing
- to protect public health
- to protect vulnerable sectors in society from unsafe and
unhealthy housing
- to protect the condition of the private sector housing stock by
strategic area renewal
- to protect the physical and social environments by promoting
regeneration and sustainable communities
