Water Quality
Water is a fundamental necessity and here in
the Vale we endeavour to ensure its high quality so that the public
can stay safe and enjoy it.
Within the Vale, we carry out various sampling
regimes to monitor water quality in accordance with a variety of
uses and regulations.
- Potable water supplies within the Vale include both main and
private
supplies. We undertake regular sampling and risk
assessments of private water supplies. The quality of mains
water supply is the responsibility of Welsh Water. However,
the Vale does work alongside Welsh Water in the event of an
incident or whenever needed.
- We test the water quality of public swimming pools and spas to
ensure their compliance with regulation.
- We sample local bathing waters along our
coastline.
