Grant Organisations
The Vale of Glamorgan Council supports initiatives such as the
'Heat project'. However, the situation is continually
changing and we always recommend that householders 'shop
around'.
For the lastest advice on the
most economic way to arrange for cavity wall and loft insulation
contact the Local Energy Advice Centre. Tel 0800 512 012.
Health Through Warmth
For householders with a long standing
debilitating illness the Vale of Glamorgan Council can offer help
via the Health Through Warmth scheme. The aim of the scheme being
to provide an adequately heated and well insulated
home. To achieve this our Health Through Warmth coordinator
can “hand hold” clients through the grant application process,
search for grants where availability might not be immediately
apparent, for example from charitable organizations. And
finally if a crisis situation is identified, provide emergency
heating equipment and help to find a more permanent solution.
The Health Through Warmth coordinator can be contacted on 01446
709847.

Why not apply for a grant through the 'Heat Project' scheme,
which aims to help make homes warmer and reduce fuel bills?
The HEAT Project is designed to enable everyone to obtain a
grant towards loft and cavity wall insulation.
All households in the Vale of Glamorgan can apply for this
grant - please call 0800 0934050 to find out more.
All the works are carried out by approved contractors and you
don't have to fill in any paperwork. The council has teamed up with
Enact Energy Consultants and SWEB ENERGY to offer a grant of up to
£275 to help householders insulate their lofts and cavity
walls.
Households with members receiving certain benefits may qualify
for free installation. Free quotations will be provided and grants
will be paid directly to the contractors so all the householder has
to pay is the balance once the work has been finished
satisfactorily.
Grants are subject to limited funding, survey and terms and
conditions. Information about the grant scheme is being sent
directly to each household within the county borough, however if
you miss it, you can call 0800 0934050 for more details or visit
www.heatproject.co.uk.
