Public Art : mosaic at the Old Harbour Breakwater, Barry
Island

The Council seeks opportunities for public art and has adopted a
"Percent for Art" policy, which means that developers are
encouraged to make a contribution towards public art as part of the
costs of developing a particular site.
The involvement of artists is seen as an important part of this
process and their input can contribute to the design of everyday
items such as footbridges, paths, fencing, seating and the external
treatment to buildings.
