Composting kerbside caddy

Is it fine to still home compost?

Of course, please continue with your home compost heaps or wormeries, whilst using the kitchen waste kerbside recycling service. Remember there are items that you cannot home compost - for example leaving cooked food in your home composter is likely to attract scavenging creatures, those pesky rats.

How do I know?

Simply follow the table below to recycle your food waste correctly. The list isn't exhaustive, but it should set you on the right track.
