Free compostgrow your own

As a Vale of Glamorgan resident who recycles kitchen and garden waste we are delighted to offer you something in return - free compost.

It's even easier to collect

Cowbridge Compost Ltd. have made it easy for you to collect your free compost. Simply show up (no appointment needed) from Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm. Please bring:

  • a container to hold the compost
  • a shovel/trowel to bag it yourself

Please be aware

A 'serve yourself' trailer is located close to the barrier on site at the farm. Farm workers are not able to assist, but invite you to help yourself to the product you have created recycling.

Typically this includes: garden waste such as leaves, hedge clippings, grass cuttings and meat, fish and leftovers for kitchen waste. The process organically breaks down materials and creates a nourishing end product.

This compost is used on the farm to grow products such as daffodils, swede and cereal crops. Cowbridge Compost Ltd has met rigid environment agency standards and must regularly send off samples to be tested.
