Welcome to the

Need more bags forcaddy kitchen waste recycling scheme?

How to let us know

If you have five bags or less left on your roll, simply tie one of these bags or a scrap of material around the handle of your kerbside caddy on your usual kitchen waste collection day. Our crew, once they've emptied your caddy, will pop a roll in to replenish your supply.

Please note our crew can only carry a limited supply on board, so it's best not to be down to your last bag before you tie one on the handle.

Only biodegradable corn-starched bags will do

If you are running/have run out of bags, please first consider if you are wasting too much food, this would reduce the amount of bags you need. If you do want to buy your own, please only buy corn-starched biodegradable ones; a lot of supermarket alternatives contain some plastic content and could contaminate.

rolled newspaper

Is there anything else I can use in an emergency?

Yes, re-use old newspaper; this will biodegrade naturally and will not cause contamination. Our corn-starched bags help eliminate odours; newspaper, if wrapped well, will work in the same way.

Need a complete kitchen waste kit?

Then you can collect one from the Civic Office in Barry or the Alps office in Wenvoe
