Buy recycled!
Be a smart shopper!
Paper, plastic and other products can all be made from recycled
materials; without the price rising or the quality going
down.
Long term goal
If we buy more recycled products we'll encourage manufacturers
to demand more recycled materials to produce items
from. Ultimately, this will reduce rubbish we bury in the
ground as landfill.
What can I do?
- Re-use shopping
bags
- Choose products with less packaging (e.g. loose
fruit & veg.)
- Consider sell by dates
- Ensure your products that are energy efficient
- Avoid buying products containing hazardous materials (look for
symbols on packaging)
