Why not make your own composter?
Carpet:
Reuse carpet over chicken wire molded to desired shape
(underside of carpet faces out).
Dustbin:
Either cut off, or drill several large holes in, the
base of an old dustbin.
Wooden palette:
Nail together wooden pallets to form three outer edges, line the
inside with chicken wire. Fill pallet
gaps with either thick cardboard, hay, old carpet or
even newspaper. At the front nail two posts to hold loose
removable boards for easy access and cover the top.
Tyres:
Build a tyre stack that grows with your compost heap
and cover the top.
Remember
When built, whatever type of compost bin you decide upon, you
will need to regularly air it with either a long stick or
a fork. Once ready, around a year from starting, dismantle your
composter and use the compost for your garden. Start again for your
next batch.
