For successful composting:

  • Site your compost in a sunny spot
  • Regularly stir to air with a stick/fork
  • Don't fill it more than 80% 
  • Chop chunky items into smaller pieces
  • Place your composter on soil, allowing worms in
  • Keep a small container to hand, like an ice-cream tub with holes in the lid, to reduce trips from the kitchen to the garden
