Junk Mail

Junk mailFed up with junk mail?

You can recycle any junk mail by using our free kerbside recycling service or take it to your local paper bank (please remove envelopes).

Opt out of junk mail addressed to you

Register with the Mailing Preference Service (MPS), a non-profit organisation. Registering is free and you can do so online or by writing to: The Mailing Preference Service, FREEPOST 20 LON20771, London, W1E 0ZT or phone: 0845 7034599

Registering will remove your name from up to 95% of direct mail lists and takes approx 4 months to take effect. Once registered, you may continue to receive post from companies you have previously done business with (such as catalogues).

For unaddressed junk mail

To reduce mail addressed to the 'occupier' or 'householder' you can write to the Royal Mail Door to Door Opt Out Services, Kingsmead House, Oxpens Road, Oxford, OX1 1PX, or phone: 08457 950 950.

This will not affect your delivery of the council's newspaper Vale Waves, as this is hand delivered by an independent company.

At your letterbox

Why not place a sign on your door requesting 'No Junk Mail' to reduce flyers posted?
