Saving paper
Our top tips
Here are just a few ways of reducing paper usage in your home or
office. Please let us know if you know of others.
- Replace paper napkins with cloth napkins
- Cut up old T-shirts for cleaning cloths
- Purchase bleach-free toilet paper that is
made from the highest post-consumer waste content
- If you print documents, print on once-used
paper and/or bleach-free, recycled paper
- don’t forget to use both sides
- Reuse envelopes, wrapping paper, the front of
cards (use as gift tags) and other paper materials
- Read books, magazines, and newspapers from
your local library or read e-books
- Create and use note pads from once-used
paper
- Leave messages for family or room-mates on a
reusable message board
- Make your own cards and letters from
once-used products or handmade paper
