Prosiect Gwyrdd

Prosiect Gwyrdd is a partnership between, Vale of Glamorgan Council,
Caerphilly Borough County
Council, The County Council of the City and
County of Cardiff, Monmouthshire
County Council and Newport Council.
The combined municipal waste of the five authorities makes up
40% of the total municipal waste of Wales.
Prosiect Gwyrdd is committed to looking for the best
environmental, cost effective and practical solution for waste
after recycling and composting has been maximised in each area.
A market testing exercise generated a great deal of
interest from a number of companies offering different
technological solutions. These an be broadly split into two
sections, biological processes and heat treatment processes.

Roadshows
Roadshows are taking place to give information to residents
about the schemes proposed by the companies bidding for the
contract. Find out

An information roadshow for the Vale will be held
on Saturday, 7 January 2012, at St Augustine's
Parish Hall, Albert Road, Penarth (10am until
1.30pm).
Following this evaluation the two highest scoring bids
will proceed to the next stage of the procurement process with a
public announcement anticipated in December this year.
