Reusing at home

You can reuse many things in your home everyday:

Be creative with your storage solutions, consider reusing:

• Plastic bags
• Jam jars
• Cardboard boxes

Think about friends and family who may be able to reuse:

• Clothes/Shoes/Handbags, etc.
• Furniture
• Textbooks

Why not consider:

• Using old sheets and towels as wiping rags
• Turning old Birthday or Christmas cards into gift labels
• CDs can scare birds effectively in the garden
• Reuse polysterene white bedding plant trays, break them up and put them in the bottom of window boxes and hanging baskets.
• Reuse an old tennis ball by cutting it in half and place your valuables in one when you are in the gym

Other things you can do:

• As a parent look at real nappies
• Wash your dusters out instead of buying a new one each time
• Invest in rechargeable batteries
