Electrical waste and electronic equipment
Vale residents may recycle the following at Sully (until
31/08/11) from Barry (01/09/11) and Llandow:
- Kitchen appliances: cooker, washing
machine, microwave, tumble dryer, dishwasher, electric stove,
electric hot plate, electric heater, radiator, electric fan,
fridge, freezer and air conditioning.
- Display equipment: TV, computer
monitor and other equipment with cathode ray tubes.
- Lighting: straight/compact fluorescent
tubes, fluorescent lamps, high intensity discharge lamps, NOT
normal household light bulbs
- All other small electrical
items.
Place items in special containers provided
that are clearly labelled at recycling sites.
Remember
We advise all our residents to ensure that they delete all files
on electronic equipment such as phones, data sticks and computers -
to name but three.
