An estimated 6.7 million tonnes of household food waste ends up
rotting in landfill every year. Reduce your food waste and save
money by using the council's Kitchen Waste Scheme. Residents of the
Vale of Glamorgan are entitled to free kitchen waste recycling bags
from the council.
Spreading the message is key; changing our
approach and our habits count. We really need our local schools to be
involved, teaching children that they should reduce, reuse
and recycle their waste.
