Can electrical items be collected kerbside?

We will collect most kitchen and display equipment as part of the bulky household waste collection service; due to how popular this service is and the amount of available vehicles there may be a wait for collection. Please ring us to find out how the schedule is for up-to-date advice.

What about other items?

It's neither cost effective or environmentally friendly to collect individual smaller items. instead take them to either Sully/Llandow recycling centre.

How has this initiative come about?

It follows the implementation of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (W.E.E.E.) regulations in '06; making manufacturers' responsible for funding recycling schemes.

Why is there a waiting list for collections?

Manufacturers funding is limited and only covers the containers at our two recycling centres. Unfortunately there is not funding to extend kerbside collection for electrical items.
