Health Challenge Vale Market Stall
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has relaunched an award-winning
market stall providing health advice and information to residents
and visitors.

Operating under a Health Challenge Vale banner, the 'All About
Health' stall is available free to all voluntary and statutory
agencies.
The stall has been recognised by the National Information Forum
for demonstrating excellence and imagination in providing
information to people with disabilities and others who have
difficulty in accessing information.
Health Challenge Vale has been developed locally as part of
Health Challenge Wales which signposts members of the public to
information or activities to help improve health, and engages with
organisations to look after the health of staff and customers. It
follows on from a consultation document, ‘Well Being in Wales,’
emphasising that everyone has a part to play in improving health in
Wales, not just the Welsh Assembly and the NHS. The idea of shared
responsibility was reinforced by the 2004 ‘Review of Health and
Social Care in Wales,' showing that the demand for health and care
services is unsustainable in the longer term and, therefore,
greater emphasis needs to be placed on preventing ill health in the
first place.
The award winning Health Challenge Vale Market Stall
offers a unique opportunity to promote your services to visitors
and residents of the Vale of Glamorgan.
It is available every Tuesday, free of charge, to
all statutory and voluntary organisations with a health
focus.
