Road Works Report for Week Ending Friday, 15th August,
2008
Merrie Harrier Junction, Penarth A4055
- B4267 - a junction improvement scheme is currently under
construction, and is expected to be ongoing for 12 weeks.
Delays are to be expected and drivers are advised to seek
alternative routes.
Pontypridd Roadat its
junction with Jenner Road, Barry - ongoing lane
restrictions on the Pontypridd Road access into this
roundabout.
The road that runs between East
Aberthaw (to the side of the Blue Anchor public house) and Fonmon
Cross - will be closed to allow essential
work from Monday, 21st July, 2008 for approximately 4 to
5 weeks. Signed diversions shall be in operation.
A48 - Cowbridge By-Pass - in
order to facilitate essential bridge repairs from Monday,
21st July, 2008, the by-pass will be reduced to single
lane working with a 40 m.p.h. speed restriction. It is
expected that this work will be ongoing for some months.
The road that extends in a generally
southeasterly direction from St. Brides-Super-Ely, through St.
Georges towards Drope - will be closed in stages to allow
water main refurbishment work to take place. This work is
programmed to start 28th July for approximately 4 - 5
weeks, signed diversions shall be in place.
B4265 - just east of Aberthaw
- temporary traffic signals will be in operation to allow
the replacement of overhead power cables. It is anticipated
that these signals will be in use on Sunday, 31st
August, Sunday 7th and Sunday, 28th
September, 2008.
B4267 - Penlan Road, Llandough
- temporary signals in operation, to allow the upgrading
of the existing Zebra Crossing into a signal controlled crossing,
it is anticipated this work will take around 3 weeks to
complete.
St. Athan
Road (at New Barn) - intermittent
temporary traffic signals in operation from 18th -
22nd August, to allow essential work to water
main.
Cuckoo Lane, this
lane runs between Penmark and Moulton - this lane will be
closed from 7.00 a.m. on Sunday, 10th August to 5.00
p.m. on Monday, 11th August, 2008 to allow repairs to a
water main.
