Public Sector
Public Sector Housing is part of the Housing &
Community Safety Division and provides the following services:
- Management of empty council homes
- Support and housing advice for the elderly
- Management of Council properties
- Rents advice for Council tenants
- Development of Housing Strategy
- Management of garages
- Support for People - offering vulnerable people the opportunity
to live with greater independence
- Management of the HOMES4U choice-based lettings scheme,
offering new lettings and transfers
- Homelessness advice and temporary accommodation
These services are managed by the Operational Manager Public
Sector Housing and are split into three Service Teams. The Service
Teams, each of which is headed by a Team Manager are as
follows:
