What we do
We are currently seeking to provide an
innovative and customer-centred approach to all our services. The
Public Housing Services manages approximately 3800 tenancies
throughout the Vale.
Public Housing Services are managed by the Operational Manager
Public Housing Services and are split in Service Teams. The Service
Teams, each of which is headed by a Team Manager, are as follow
Housing
Advice
Housing Advice covers provision of the Housing Advice and
Prevention of Homelessness, temporary accommodation provision and
out of hours homelessness service

HOMES4U
HOMES4U is the way that the council allocates
its houses.

Housing Management
Housing Management services include the
management of the Council's housing and garage stock, letting empty
homes, dealing with neighbour nuisance, managing rent accounts and
working in partnership with tenants to improve our services

Strategy and Supporting People
The role of the Housing Strategy Team is to
deliver the vision for housing across the county. The Council is
committed to providing effective housing services and it recognises
that good strategic planning and partnership working are integral
to ensuring that the future services provided meet the needs of our
customers.
Supporting People is a national framework for
planning, delivering and monitoring housing related support
services. The Supporting People team administer
grant funding to service providers to deliver a range of housing
related support services.

Tenant Engagement
We are committed to getting tenants involved
in the Housing Service as much as possible. This means giving
tenants the chance to be involved in our housing policies and play
a part in our plans for changing our services in the future.

and easy to understand
