What is Homes4U
HOMES4U is the way that the council allocates
its houses.
It provides a greater opportunity for
applicants to decide where they wish to live.
- It gives the applicant a chance to bid for homes they really
wish to live in,
- It enables applicants to focus on choices rather than
points
- It will help to develop sustainable communities, as applicants
will only bid for homes in the areas they wish to live in
- Similar systems have proved to be effective in other areas
of the country
The HOMES4U
policy has been agreed between The Vale of Glamorgan
Council, Newydd Housing Association, Wales and West Housing
Association, Hafod Housing Association, and most recently United Welsh
Housing Association. This means that all properties owned by these
organisations will be advertised in the same way.

HOMES4U has recently joined the
online mutual exchange service - Homeswapper.
Visit the
HomeSwapper website where you will be able to register for
the scheme. Registration is free for Council tenants in the Vale of
