Vale of Glamorgan Local Service Board
What is the Local Service Board?
The Vale of Glamorgan Local Service Board (LSB) is made up of
the main public sector and community organisations operating in the
Vale of Glamorgan.
Its role is to improve the way that public bodies and
communities work together. The LSB does this by providing
collective leadership on the issues of most importance to the
residents of the Vale.
This includes:
-
Developing a clear, shared vision of the priorities for the Vale
of Glamorgan, and to draw up a Community Strategy reflecting those
priorities
-
Reviewing the range, membership and ways of working of all
partnerships operating in the Vale
-
Promoting opportunities for the pooling of resources between
partner organisations
-
Identifying new methods and locations for planning,
commissioning and delivering services
- Agreeing the Local Service Agreement with Welsh Government and
oversee its delivery.
-
Developing a common performance management framework linked to
the Local Service Agreement which is adopted by all
partnerships
-
Developing a clear process for engaging the citizens of the Vale
of Glamorgan in the work of the LSB
- The
Community Strategy (2011-21).
