Supplementary Planning Guidance
Supplementary Planning Guidance Procedures
The Council has established a procedure for the production,
reporting, consultation and adoption of SPGs - Supplementary
Planning Guidance Procedures.
These procedures accord with guidance contained with Planning
Policy Wales 2002. This advises that such guidance may be taken
into account in the determination of planning applications if it
has been prepared in consultation with the general public and
interested parties, and has been the subject of a Council
resolution.
Supplementary Planning Guidance
Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) has been prepared and
adopted by the Council. SPG provides additional policy advice for
the Vale of Glamorgan Adopted Unitary Development Plan 1996 - 2011,

Glamorgan Affordable Housing Delivery Statement
The Affordable Housing Delivery Statement supersedes the
Council’s previous affordable housing targets and thresholds set
out in Policy HOUS12 of the Vale of Glamorgan Adopted Unitary
Development Plan, 1996-2011 and those contained in the
Supplementary Planning Guidance for Affordable Housing. However,
other supplementary information set out in the SPG is still
applicable.

The Minerals Local Area Policies SPG has also been prepared
and is currently in draft form.
