On the 18th April 2005, the Vale of Glamorgan Council formally adopted its Unitary Development Plan

The Vale of Glamorgan Adopted Unitary Development Plan 1996 - 2011 constitutes the development plan for the authority and supersedes all adopted / approved structure and local plans that were previously in force.

Our interactive proposals map allows you to select a site on a map of the Vale, or find an address, and see whether any UDP designations and / or allocations apply. You can then view the text of any relevant UDP policies.

Please note that some of the policy numbers have changed in the final document due to a number of deletions and additions made during the plan-making process. From 10th April 2006 all correspondence from the Council refers to the new policy numbers (PDF)

The published printed copy is the definitive version of the Vale of Glamorgan Adopted UDP


 

You may purchase a copy of the UDP (not currently the composite document) including the maps, at a cost of £50 inclusive of postage and packaging.
